Co-founder of MMX Studio, he is architect (BSc) and Civil engineer (MSc) by the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA), specialized on construction and administration, Jorge Arvizu has collaborated in various renowned architectural firms such as Alberto Kalach studio and TEN Architects, as well as collaborations with Oscar Hagerman in designing and building shelters and schools in deprived areas around Mexico. Prior to founding MMX he worked independently, consolidating his skills on the different areas of design, development, management and construction. In parallel, he has been an invited lecturer in various universities and currently holds a teaching position at the UIA in Mexico City where he leads an architectural studio.
Ignacio del Rio
Co-founder of MMX Studio, he is an architect by the National University of Mexico (UNAM). Awarded by the “FONCA” with the “Mexican Young Creators Award 2007”, and winner of the XI international competition Arquine, Ignacio has worked in various renowned national and international architectural offices such as Alberto Kalach studio and Central de Arquitectura in Mexico as well as DL+A architectural studio and Molestina Architekten in Spain. He has a solid experience in design and design development and has been an invited critic and lecturer at different universities and international workshops.
Co-founder of MMX Studio, he is an Architect and Urban Designer. He holds a degree in architecture by the National University of Mexico (UNAM) and a master degree by the Bartlett School of Architecture in London. Awarded be “FONCA” with the “Mexican Young Creators 2003” he has been an invited critic and lecturer at the Bartlett (London, UK), UTA (Texas, USA), ITESO, UNAM and UIA where he holds a teaching position in Mexico City. Prior to founding MMX Studio, Emmanuel worked in various national and international renowned practices such as Alberto Kalach in Mexico City, Skidmore Owings and Merril (SOM) in London and Chicago and David Chipperfield in London, where he consolidated his design skills in different scales ranging from architecture and urban design to regional and national plans.
Co-founder of MMX Studio, he is an architect by the National University of Mexico (UNAM) and holds a Master degree in architecture and urbanism by the Architectural Association in London. Awarded by the “FONCA” with the “Mexican Young Creators Award 2003” as well as with the CEMEX Grant for architects ”Marcelo Zambrano 2007”, he has been an invited critic and lecturer at the AA (London), ITESO and UIA where he currently holds a teaching position and runs an architectural studio. Prior to founding MMX Studio, Diego has worked in various renowned practices in Mexico and abroad such as, Alberto Kalach studio and LBC architects in Mexico as well as Planwerk A.C. in Lichtenstein, where he has consolidated his design skills as well as focused his experience on new technologies and digital design.
